‘Dog's Funeral’ is a film about the story of a family dog belonging to Mahajena's family who refused to leave their home when war broke out in 1948. The family was displaced from their village, but the dog fought to stay and guard the house. The grandparents and children were devastated to hear the dog's barking behind as they fled for their lives, and emerging into a future of ongoing trauma. The film honors the dog's loyalty, devotion and resistance by presenting a funeral for him.
