Domiciliation, Installation, 2021.
'Domiciliation' is an immersive installation that envisions a living space once occupied by a survivor of war who sought refuge within its walls. This captivating artwork seamlessly blends various elements such as video, sculpture, found objects, machinery, plants, photography, and more. The artist drew inspiration from her own family narratives, particularly the stories highlighting the resistance efforts of Palestinian domestic animals during the Al-Nakba period. Additionally, the installation reflects the artist's personal understanding and contemplation of the enduring traumas and post-traumatic experiences endured by their family during the war. The objects and artworks within the installation poignantly symbolize the distinct characteristics of the disorders resulting from these traumas, creating a thought-provoking representation of the emotional journey.
